hhuOS is an educational operating system project developed by students at Heinrich Heine University (HHU) in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is built from scratch in C and Assembly and intended as a teaching tool to help students grasp the foundations of kernel development, memory management, system calls, and multitasking. newStep is an Operating System designed on Linux 2.6.12.3 with GNUstep and X11. As for the windowing system, we will try to use the modular release of X11 with a modified window manager to have a semi-MacOS X and NEXTSTEP apperance.
