This paper represent a development and deployment and/or Implementation of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to translate images of typewritten or handwritten characters into electronically editable format by preserving font properties. Smart Grid Co-Simulator

We have developed a co-simulator which combines support for power device models and communication models to improve practical investigation of the Smart Grid. Our proposed system uses OpenDSS power system simulator and OMNeT++ communication system simulator which are available under an open source licence. We have resolved a synchronisation problem between already existing communication and power networks simulators. This is done through a software interface between the communication and power networks simulators. We have tested our co-simulation framework with a renewable energy integration application. * This work was partly supported by an Open Collaborative Research (OCR) project from IBM. The National library of Luxembourg's viewer for METS (http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/) files with OCR files in the ALTO format. The viewer needs a tomcat application server to run in. It can be deployed so that it reads the METS files from a local folder. Its main use is for digitized newspapers and postcards but can be adapted to other METS profiles as well. The idea is to enhance and develop the national border crossing process by the integration of automated vehicle recognition while crossing country borders. i'm going to use Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR): a system that recognizes the numbers of the vehicle plates by using OCR (optical character recognition) technology and Infrared cameras. This is going to be achieved by taking the license plate image from the camera and processing it using the software I’m going to develop together with an open source OCR system. The output is going to be a text version of the plate number. Then it is going to retrieve that number from a database and get the information of the vehicle owner. Note: Please note that you need emgucv installed. you also need to move the project files to: C:\Emgu\emgucv-windows-x86XXX\Emgu.CV.Example\ Please note: that the project was created using visual studio 2003, on windows xp. and it might not run fluently on newer versions. please try to update it. -
