prisma-client-py is an auto-generated Python ORM for Prisma schema files, bringing Prisma's developer experience to Python projects. It provides a type-safe, intuitive interface for interacting with databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL. prisma-client-py is ideal for Python developers who want static typing, code completion, and seamless integration with modern backend stacks.

Peewee is a simple and small ORM. It has few (but expressive) concepts, making it easy to learn and intuitive to use. Peewee will automatically infer the database table name from the name of the class. You can override the default name by specifying a table_name attribute in the inner “Meta” class (alongside the database attribute). To learn more about how Peewee generates table names, refer to the Table Names section. There are lots of field types suitable for storing various types of data. Peewee handles converting between pythonic values and those used by the database, so you can use Python types in your code without having to worry. The real strength of our database is in how it allows us to retrieve data through queries. Relational databases are excellent for making ad-hoc queries. Peewee provides a magical helper fn(), which can be used to call any SQL function.

peewee-async is an async extension for the Peewee ORM, enabling non-blocking database access in asyncio-powered Python applications. It allows you to use familiar Peewee models while benefiting from asynchronous I/O, making it ideal for web applications or services that require concurrency.

The Orator ORM provides a simple yet beautiful ActiveRecord implementation. The Orator ORM is based on conventions to avoid the hassle of defining every single aspect of your models. It is inspired by the database part of the Laravel framework, but largely modified to be more pythonic. All you need to get you started is the configuration describing your database connections and passing it to a DatabaseManager instance. If you have multiple databases configured you can specify which one is the default. For MySQL and PostgreSQL, the connectors are configured to return unicode strings. If you want to use the previous behavior just set the use_unicode configuration option to False. Once you have configured your database connection, you can run queries. To run a set of operations within a database transaction, you can use the transaction method which is a context manager.

SQLObject is an object-relational mapper for Python. It supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Firebird, MaxDB/SapDB, MS SQL and Sybase. It supports Python versions back to 2.7.
