System monitoring dashboard for terminal
gtop is a tool that helps you monitor your systems through a dashboard user interface, and it is optimized to monitor and visualize terminals. gtop requirements are to have Node.js version 8 or higher. It supports Linux, OSX, and Windows (with partial support). You need to assign host net and pid to access the metrics in the host machine. Start gtop with the gtop command. To stop gtop use q, or ctrl+c in most shell environments. You can sort the process table by pressing 'p' for Process Id, 'c' for CPU usage, and 'm' for Memory usage. ...Comcast is a tool designed to simulate common network problems like latency, bandwidth restrictions, and dropped/reordered/corrupted packets. It works by wrapping up some system tools in a portable(ish) way. On BSD-derived systems such as OSX, we use tools like ipfw and pfctl to inject failure. On Linux, we use iptables and tc. Comcast is merely a thin wrapper around these controls. Windows support may be possible with wipfw or even the native network stack, but this has not yet been implemented in Comcast and may be at a later date. On Linux, Comcast supports several options: device, latency, target/default bandwidth, packet loss, protocol, and port number. -

You are welcome to contribute compiled executable for other OS' - to simplify process there is only one file required for compilation. Although this is simple program it includes all options for reliable acquiring external IP address, because it not depends on single server but many; use -? parameter for help or -?? for many additional options. -
