Continuous multi-platform multi host pinging tool.
cPingProbe is a multiplatform (Windows, Linux, mac OS, Solaris) multi host pinging tool that would continuously record your RTT from pinging machine and would notify on any discrepancy from normal trend. Its a great resource friendly tool that would do it task without starving other application of system resources. Currently it supports 3 protocol methods to test host round trip time. TCP(default) , ICMP(standard) and UDP(generally not recommended for long term analysis). -

pmping (pmping is a multi ping script). A script to ping multiple hosts, and check for their availability and responsiveness. It sends beeps through the internal speaker, suitable for servers and/or headless monitoring.

multihomed is a perl script which can detect when your primary Internet uplink goes down and switch to a backup uplink. It's smarter than many similar scripts: it continuosly ping several hosts using both uplinks and elects the best one as primary.
