The Lightning Network Daemon (lnd), is a complete implementation of a Lightning Network node. lnd has several pluggable back-end chain services including btcd (a full-node), bitcoind, and neutrino (a new experimental light client). The project's codebase uses the btcsuite set of Bitcoin libraries and also exports a large set of isolated re-usable Lightning Network-related libraries within it, and fully conforms to the Lightning Network specification (BOLTs). -

Eclair (French for Lightning) is a Scala implementation of the Lightning Network. This software follows the Lightning Network Specifications (BOLTs). Other implementations include c-lightning, lnd, electrum, and rust-lightning. Eclair offers a feature-rich HTTP API that enables application developers to easily integrate. Eclair's JSON API should NOT be accessible from the outside world (similarly to Bitcoin Core API). Eclair requires Bitcoin Core 0.20.1 or 0.21.1.
