DSLstats
A program for monitoring a DSL connection
The purpose of this program is to monitor the state of an ADSL or VDSL2 connection. It works with DSL routers using Broadcom chipsets, which have a fully functional telnet interface with access to the Broadcom CLI. It also supports some Thomson/Technicolor routers via their custom CLI, but some of the features of the program are not available for these models. All of the data is obtained from the CLI via telnet. Data is displayed in graphical form, and also can be seen in raw telnet CLI format. -

...It not only can be used to ping a site's availability, but can also be used to ping a downed site to determine when it is available. Report listing can be by Error, Ping OK, or All information. Information is written to the window at the bottom of the interface and to a log file. Alarms can be set to sound upon site ping OK or after a number of ping errors overall or after a number of sequential ping errors. Major Pinger can now ping a port (= open/close a port) to determine if a port is currently available.
