Merge and Translate Subtitles
DualSub is a tool which allows you to merge two SRT subtitles in a single file. The idea of using merged subtitles (let's call them dual subtitles) is to watch movies/series in original version with two sets of subtitles. Why is this useful? Dual subtitles can be used to learn a second language while watching movies/series. The typical case is when your mother tongue is not English but you want to watch movies/series in English. Then you have several options: 1. Learn English ; 2. Watch it with subtitles ; 3. Watch it translated to your mother language ; 4. Do not watch it. DualSub is a tool for those people between options 1 and 2. If your English is not perfect, you usually face to idioms, words and expression you do not know. By watching movies/series with dual subtitles (i.e. its original subtitles plus a translation) you will never be in doubt anymore of those expressions you do not understand, since the translation is instantaneous.
SaunaSMS J2ME is application for customers of finnish operator Saunalahti to send FREE or pre-purchased SMS Messages. Idea of SaunaSMS J2ME is based on similar application developed for other platforms (ie. iPhone). This is my first J2ME app :)
hvajavacalendar is a Java package that has many calendars
This Java package implements many calendars. In addition to the Gregorian calendar, it has these calendars: Armenian, Bahai, Chinese, Coptic, Egyptian, Ethiopic, French revolutionary, Hebrew, Hindu lunar, Hindu solar, Indian, Islamic, Jalali, Julian, Mayan, Nepali, Persian, World calendar. Different countries changed from Julian to Gregorian calendar in different times. This package has calendars for the following countries (all of them do not exist any more as independend countries): Bohemia and Moravia, Great Britain and Dominions, Bulgaria, Denmark, Norway and many German Protestant states, Finland and Sweden, Hungary, Luxemburg, Prussia, Romania, Russia, Estonia, Swiss Protestant cantons. The classes do not implement the java.util.Calendar interface (perhaps they should :-) but they have functions to convert to and from java.util.GregorianCalendar.
