SRAM Memory Aging Simulator for Image/Video Processing Systems
YASAV is a GUI-based tool for fast analysis and visualization of SRAM based memory aging. The customization is done for YUV videos to realize use cases for image/video processing applications. This tool accepts SRAM scratchpad memory configuration and user parameters (like test data sets, required aging years etc.) and provides aging estimates in terms of Static Noise Margin (the metric of SRAM aging estimation) and in-depth duty cycle analysis. This tool also supports automatic visualization of aging results in form of heatmaps, box plots and histograms. It can also be used as a standalone tool for visualizing YUV 4:2:0p video files. In case of usage, please refer to our DAC'15 paper: M. Shafique, M. U. K. Khan, Orcun Tuefek and J. Henkel, "EnAAM: Energy-Efficient Anti-Aging for On-Chip Video Memories", in Design Automation Conference (DAC), San Francisco, CA, 2015.
Library of Approximate Adders
We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

AnaSP, a MATLAB software suite to ANAlyse SPheroids' parameters
Today, more and more biological laboratories use 3D cell cultures and tissues growth in vitro as model of in vivo tumours and metastasis. In particular, it has been extensively established that multicellular spheroids are an efficient model to validate effects of drugs and treatments for human care applications. However, a lack of methods for quantitative analysis, limits the usage of spheroids as model for routine experiments. AnaSP is a suite tool for automatic analysis of morphological parameters of spheroids starting by brightfield images manually acquired with a standard widefield microscope. AnaSP is distributed as an open source software tool, and its modular architecture and graphical user interface make it attractive also for non-Computer Scientist people, and suitable for both high content screenings and occasional spheroid-based experiments. Requirements: MATLAB 2009b (32-bit) and Image Processing Toolbox 8.1 or later versions.

Speedy Composer – Artificial Neural Network Melody Composer.
Speedy Composer is a composition software that makes use of artificial neural networks to compose melodies. Using Speedy Composer you can create an infinite number of royalty free compositions that you can use in your own projects, share with friends, or just listen for your enjoyment, all for free! Speedy Composer generates compositions complete with melodies and accompaniment, which you can download as MIDI files or MP3 files. The melodies will be composed according to the chord progression selected by you. You can choose from a number of chord progressions available. Before you can use Speedy Composer, you need to register to Speedy Net, or log-in if you already have a Speedy Net account. The melodies you compose will be saved to your personal folders on Speedy Composer, and if you want you can make your compositions public and share them with your friends. Have fun creating music with Speedy Composer!
An enhanced stable election protocol for wireless sensor network
While wireless sensor networks are increasingly equipped to handle more complex functions, in-network processing may require these battery powered sensors to judiciously use their constrained energy to prolong the effective network life time especially in a heterogeneous settings. Clustered techniques have since been employed to optimize energy consumption in this energy constrained wireless sensor networks. We propose an Enhanced-SEP clustering algorithm in a three-tier node scenario to prolong the effective network life-time. Simulation results shows that the Enhanced-SEP protocol achieves better performance in this respect, compared to other existing clustering algorithms such as LEACH and SEP in both heterogeneous and homogenous environments.
