Fortran lacks some very basic, but extremely useful, C functionality. The intent of c4for is to provide a library available at link time for fortran code to access the C functionality.
Cca-forum unifies the Common Component Architecture tools and tutorial. It includes the CCA specifications, the Ccaffeine framework for HPC, and related tools. These support multilanguage scientific and parallel computing.
The program consgen takes multiple protein structures in PDB format and aligns them using a modified Procrustes method that aims to maximize residue similarity. The principal result is a consensus structure showing residue conservation.
Python-accessible toolkit for Geoscience & Remote Sensing Applications
GeoSciPy is a set of C and Python functions that provide an API for all aspects of Geoscience and Remote Sensing Applications. Functions include reading/writing of many data formats, images, vectors, ..., and processing of images, vectors, ... including map projections, ... The library is written C, using HDF5 as the file format for storage of all remotely-sensed data and ancillary data, as well as processed data. The C functions assume a particular format for the HDF5 file contents, and provide functions for reading and writing data to such files. There is also a Python API that provides a procedural as well as an object-oriented interface to these functions. A Python GUI for interacting with such datasets is also part of the project. While there are other open-source GIS, and image-processing packages available, this one is designed to be comprehensive, work on 3 major platforms, user-extensible, fast, and able to handle huge datasets. Display FEM (finite element method) grids. scroll, zoom, different colorings, sort them to increase cache efficiency and many other features
open source analogue of IBM OS/2 operating system
Provide an easy way to modify the rounding mode of iEEE754 operations in an program. The aim of this tool is to allow the evaluation of the numerical quality of a code by comparing results given by the same code using different rounding mode.
Trek7 the original multiplayer network star trek game from the early-mid 70s. We are hoping to revive this classic (no, its not netrek/mtrek, not even close). hopefully the SF community can help port this to modern day networks.
This project contains some programs that designed to process gravity data through applying of the reductions to determine the Bouguer gravity anomaly and to model the subsurface structures by forward and inverse methods as well as some programs to determine geodetic parameters from geopotential models. This project may be useful in Geodesy and Geophysics.
