LAME is an educational tool to be used for learning about MP3 encoding. The goal of the LAME project is to improve the psycho acoustics, quality and speed of MP3 encoding. Note: we provide source code only!

A soundboard that supports almost all MP3s and WAVs. Sounds can be triggered with custom keyboard hot-keys and played through up to 2 outputs. i.e. Your speakers and a virtual audio cable. Also allows for your mic to pass into the virtual audio cable when enabling Mic Injector. This soundboard also incorporates a save feature. REQUIREMENTS: - Java 7 If you want sounds to be played through voice chat you'll need a virtual audio cable. (For Windows users I recommend the VB-Cable driver (http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/index.htm). (For Mac I recommend Soundflower. (http://cycling74.com/soundflower-landing-page/)).

MAD is a high-quality fixed-point MPEG audio decoder with 24-bit output. The implementation is entirely new, based on the ISO/IEC standards, and performs especially well on systems without native floating-point support.

libxmp is a library that renders module files to PCM data. xmp is a module player for Unix-like systems, based on libxmp, that plays over 90 mainstream and obscure module formats from Amiga, Atari, Acorn, Apple IIgs and PC, including Protracker (MOD), Scream Tracker 3 (S3M), Fast Tracker II (XM) and Impulse Tracker (IT) files.

This is a Commodore 64 emulator specialized for sound reproduction. It is also a SID player for music collections like HVSC and CGSC. It is a full C64 emulator and can play games of the GameBase64 project as well.

rePear is a tool that allows using an Apple iPod audio player without iTunes. The user can manage the audio files on the iPod with a normal file manager and rePear takes care that they can be played on the device.

This Java Modplayer playes *.mod, *.xm, *.s3m, *.stm, *.wow, *.it (all with interpolation), MP3s, *.sid, *.ogg, *.flac, *.ape, WAV, MIDI, RMI, AU, AIFF. It also supports playlists like PLS, M3U and cue-sheets. Since Version 2.8 support for OPL2/OPL3 emulation was added to play AdLib ROL-Files, LAA, CMF, DRO and SCI files. To start the player you may just double click the jar or use: java -jar ./javamod.jar or (for just commandline) java -cp ./javamod.jar de.quippy.javamod.main.CommandLine. This player can be run als a console application, with its swing gui. The formal applet support is gone. Applets are not supported in most browsers anymore.
