QMidiArp is a MIDI arpeggiator, phrase generator and controller LFO for ALSA and JACK. It can run multiple synchronized arpeggiators, LFOs and step sequencers. Takt is a text-based language for describing note and chord sequences as well as algorithmic compositon rules with C-like syntax. This software package contains a REPL (read-eval-play loop) interpreter for Takt, a MIDI-file-to-Takt translator, and an Emacs interface program which enables note entry from a MIDI keyboard.

The SpatGRIS is a plugin (Mac AU/VST and VST Windows format) designed to compose multichannel space. It allows the user to spatialize the sound in 2D (up to 16 speakers) or in 3D (up to 128 speakers) under a dome of speakers (with the ServerGRIS, available here on SourceForge). SpatGRIS is a fusion of two former plugins by the GRIS: OctoGRIS and ZirkOSC with a lot of new features. SpatGRIS has been developed by the Groupe de Recherche en Immersion Spatiale (GRIS) directed by Robert Normandeau and based at the Faculty of Music at Université de Montréal. SpatGRIS and ServerGRIS are still available here but they are not supported anymore. OctoGRIS3 is a multichannel sound spatialization plug-in (up to 8 sources / 16 speakers) available in Audio Unit and VST formats for Mac and PC. The free and open-source plug-in allows movement of multichannel sound sources on a variable set of speakers. Modes of grouped movement and a trajectory system are provided for spatialization of stereo and multichannel sources. The development of OctoGRIS3 has ended on November 2016.
