This work extends 3DDFA, named 3DDFA_V2, titled Towards Fast, Accurate and Stable 3D Dense Face Alignment, accepted by ECCV 2020. The supplementary material is here. The gif above shows a webcam demo of the tracking result, in the scenario of my lab. This repo is the official implementation of 3DDFA_V2. Compared to 3DDFA, 3DDFA_V2 achieves better performance and stability. Besides, 3DDFA_V2 incorporates the fast face detector FaceBoxes instead of Dlib. A simple 3D render written by c++ and cython is also included. This repo supports the onnxruntime, and the latency of regressing 3DMM parameters using the default backbone is about 1.35ms/image on CPU with a single image as input. See requirements.txt, tested on macOS and Linux platforms. The Windows users may refer to FQA for building issues. Note that this repo uses Python3. The major dependencies are PyTorch, numpy, opencv-python and onnxruntime, etc.

AFX is an X11-based, extensible, graphical, and highly configurable frontend primarily for use on tv-connected systems. The original design goal is a joystick-controlled frontend for an entertainment (games, emulators, audio, and video) box.

Blender add-on to dramatically reduce render times using the Real-ESRGAN upscaler. Rendering an HD image in Blender takes 37 minutes. Upscaling can render a similar quality image in 5 mins total. Any PC or laptop can now do 3D rendering. 4k images can be rendered in the time it would take to render HD 1080p images. HD 1080p images can be rendered in record time on low-end hardware. Installation is easy. Just install the addon. No special hardware or GPU is required. Upscaling is done entirely on the CPU. Blender renders a low-resolution image. The Real-ESRGAN Upscaler upscales the low-resolution image to a higher-resolution image. Real-ESRGAN is a deep learning upscaler that uses neural networks to achieve excellent results by adding in detail when it upscales.

Affine transformation virtual 3D object using a finger gesture-based interactive system in the virtual environment. A convolutional neural network (CNN) based thumb and index fingertip detection system are presented here for seamless interaction with a virtual 3D object in the virtual environment. First, a two-stage CNN is employed to detect the hand and fingertips, and using the information of the fingertip position, the scale, rotation, translation, and in general, the affine transformation of the virtual object is performed. This is the version 2.0 that includes a more generalized affine transformation of virtual objects in the virtual environment with more experimentation and analysis. Previous versions only include the geometric transformation of a virtual 3D object with respect to a finger gesture. Paper for the affine transformation of the virtual 3D object has been published in Virtual Reality & Intelligent Hardware, Elsevier Science Publishers in 2020.

Affogato is a plugin for Avid's Softimage XSI 3D animation package. It links XSI with high-end 3D renderers. It allows a great level of customization to fit into contemporary VFX pipelines. Currently Affogato only supports RenderMan-compliant renderers.
