A utility for downloading TV and radio programmes from BBC iPlayer

".ECW file" or "waveset" refers to a file with an extension of ".ECW" which stores articulation and sample data used by the MIDI synthesizer of sound cards equipped with an ES1370, ES1371, or ES1373 chip. These sound cards include the Ensoniq AudioPCI, the Sound Blaster! AudioPCI, the Sound Blaster! PCI64, the Sound Blaster! PCI128, and the Sound Blaster Live!. This project is a Perl script which can unpack these files into a .WAV sample, and a corresponding .SFZ file (an open format used by various sample engines to describe sample playback.) -

A few perl modules which can create xml files to run as movies on your 3D RGB LED Cube. The cubes internal firmware source code was not disclosed when i asked for it. get_iplayeri reads arguments to get_iplayer from a file (see http://www.infradead.org/get_iplayer/html/get_iplayer.html), runs get_iplayer to display the matching programmes and asks the user interactively which, if any, they want to record. Multiple searches and collections of searches can appear in the input, reflecting the user's TV viewing and radio and podcast listening habits. A variety of interactive commands are available to perform operations such as requesting further programme information or to set recording options, effectively creating a rich on screen guide and VCR experience to compliment the PVR functionality built into get_iplayer. ... -

TagTools for Linux is a set of scripts which can be used to manipulate audio tags of various audio formats (MP3, OGG, FLAC etc). In fact, it is an implementation of the Audio::TagLib library (http://search.cpan.org/dist/Audio-TagLib/lib/Audio/TagLib.pm), and provides it with a command-line and dialog-based interface. TagTools should also work correctly with tags written in different codepages (utf8, cp1251 etc). -

DVD2MP3 is a perl script which converts audio tracks on a DVD into id3 tagged mp3 files. It was written for Linux, though it could probably be used on other Unixes with little trouble. It requires mplayer, lame, lsdvd, MP3::Tag and Term::ReadLine.
