    WebP Codec

    WebP Codec

Library to encode and decode images in WebP format

libwebp is the reference codec library for Google’s WebP image format, providing both encoding and decoding along with command-line tools. It supplies cwebp to compress images into WebP and dwebp to decompress them back, making it easy to test quality/size trade-offs across presets and tuning parameters. The GitHub repository is a mirror; the canonical source of truth lives on Chromium’s git, and developer docs are hosted on WebP’s portal. The project underpins WebP support across browsers, imaging libraries, and many native apps thanks to its stable C API. Additional companion repos host test data and demos, including JavaScript builds and timing tests for various platforms. ...

    Must-Watch CSS

    Must-Watch CSS

CSS Grid, flexbox, custom variables, performance, frameworks

...The repository organizes talks by year and topic, giving a historical and topical overview of how CSS practices and tools have evolved. For learners, this collection allows seeing how experts think about layout, performance, design trade-offs, and how CSS-related problems are solved in real projects or at scale. It’s especially useful if you prefer video learning over documentation, or if you want to expose a team (or yourself) to a variety of perspectives and opinions about styling, architecture, and CSS best-practices.

    TimeSformer

    TimeSformer

The official pytorch implementation of our paper

...TimeSformer was influential in showing that pure transformer architectures—without convolutional backbones—can perform strongly on video classification tasks. Its flexible attention design allows experimenting with different factoring (spatial-then-temporal, joint, etc.) to trade off compute, memory, and accuracy.

    Gio.js

    Gio.js

A declarative 3D globe data visualization library built with Three.js

...What makes Gio.js different is that it is simple to use Gio.js to customize a 3D data visualization model in a declarative way, add your own data, and integrate it into your own modern web application. This library is inspired by the Arms Trade Visualization project developed by Michael Chang and presented during Google Ideas INFO 2012. See original post. With Gio.js, it is easy to reproduce this fantastic data visualization model, and integrate it into web applications.

    Lensfun

    Lensfun

Library to correct optical lens defects and lens database

...Of course, the better is your camera, the better the results will be, but in any case if you look carefully at shots taken even by the most expensive cameras equipped with the most expensive lenses you will see various artifacts. It is very hard to make ideal cameras, because there are a lot of factors that affect the final image quality, and at some point camera and lens designers have to trade one factor for another to achieve the optimal image quality, within the given design restrictions and budget. But we all want ideal shots, don't we? :) So that's what's lensfun is all about - rectifying the defects introduced by your photographic equipment.
