RAT is a software for advanced image processing of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) remote sensing data.

SCRplus converts images to formats suitable for use with the ZX Spectrum, using innovative and highly effective algorithms to produce as faithful a rendition of the original image as the limited Spectrum palette allows. Besides the normal 16-colour Spectrum screen, it can also produce 64-colour ULAplus images. The ULAplus is a plug-in replacement for the ZX Spectrum ULA, and is developed by Chris Smith (see http://www.zxdesign.info/ ). Since version 0.18 it has a user-friendly GUI based on GTK+.

Footswitch 3 is a media player for transcribers on Linux. Written in python using the python bindings for Gstreamer it allows a transcriber to control the audio or video with a foot pedal, and includes a set of macros that integrate into LibreOffice. This allows the transcriber to control the media player from within Libreoffice as well, making it useful for those who do not yet own a foot pedal/foot switch. Control of the media player from LibreOffice can be via Hotkeys or an integrated toolbar. scanbd is a scanner button daemon. It polls the scanner buttons looking for buttons pressed or function knob changes or other scanner events as paper inserts / removals and at the same time allows also scan-applications to access the scanners. If buttons are pressed, etc., various actions can be submitted (scan, copy, email, ...) via action scripts. The function knob values are passed to the action-scripts as well. Scan actions are also signaled via dbus. This can be useful for foreign applications. Scans can also be triggered via dbus from foreign applications. On platforms which support signaling of dynamic device insertion / removal (libudev, dbus, hal) scanbd supports this as well. scanbd can use all sane-backends or some special backends from the (old) scanbuttond project.
