Usual webcams run a server Tom remotely access images and videos. This often prevents the server from going to suspend. This tool listens on a configurable port on a GET request requesting a .jpg file. Up on such a request, the webcam is configured, activated, an image is captured, and the image is returned as a usual http reply. This enables the server to suspend and to wait for a WOL to resume. -

...The big advantage of this plugin is that you don't need to pre generate these preview images and store them separately, it is done seamlessly on the fly for you. The mp4 meta data is loaded and parsed and then corresponding key frames are downloaded using byte-range requests and decoded in the browser so you do not need to deal with it. All major desktop browsers are supported, mobile devices without Flash are not supported but you probably will not this functionality on those. -

Primarily for use with the REVEAL web system this daemon polls a mysql database for 3d rendering requests. Currently the system will handle PMVS2 from U. Wash and Iray from Brown U. systems. Much of the code was ported from the osm-bundler system http://code.google.com/p/osm-bundler/ The daemon curently runs in win64/linux64 for PMVS and linux64 for Brown's Iray algroithm. The code has been tested and running on Ubuntu 11.10 -
