JamSpace is a client/server application that leverages HTML5 and the Web Audio API to enable users to record, arrange and mix multi-track audio projects. Its goal is to be a networked digital audio workstation (DAW) with features to enable collaboration between users. The Web Audio API provides web browsers with the ability to record and play back audio streams without requiring any external plugins. The client side is a web page that can take many forms, the initial implementation is modeled after typical multi-track composition software. The backend is a java application which is controlled by REST APIs and uses WebSockets for streaming audio in and out. The JamSpace server supports both sampled and synthesized audio which may both be used in the same project. Standard MIDI and audio files may be imported. The JamSpace server will include features for social network that will enable users to form project groups and control access to projects.

An image processing library for Node written entirely in JavaScript, with zero native dependencies. If you're using this library with TypeScript the method of importing slightly differs from JavaScript. Instead of using require, you must import it with ES6 default import scheme. If you're using a web bundles (webpack, rollup, parcel) you can benefit from using the module build of jimp. Using the module build will allow your bundler to understand your code better and exclude things you aren't using. If you're using webpack you can set process.browser to true and your build of jimp will exclude certain parts, making it load faster. The static Jimp.read method takes the path to a file, URL, dimensions, a Jimp instance or a buffer and returns a Promise. In some cases, you need to pass additional parameters with an image's URL.

Lazy Load delays loading of images in long web pages. Images outside of viewport will not be loaded before user scrolls to them. This is opposite of image preloading. This is a modern vanilla JavaScript version of the original Lazy Load plugin. It uses Intersection Observer API to observe when the image enters the browsers viewport. Original code was inspired by YUI ImageLoader utility by Matt Mlinac. New version loans heavily from a blog post by Dean Hume. By default Lazy Load assumes the URL of the original high resolution image can be found in data-src attribute. You can also include an optional low resolution placeholder in the src attribute. If you prefer you can explicitly pass the image elements to the factory. Use this for example if you use different class name. Low resolution placeholder ie. the “blur up” technique. Lazyloaded Responsive images are supported via data-srcset. If browser does not support srcset and there is no polyfill the image from data-src will be shown.
