...KIPR, KISS Institute for Practical Robotics is an organization that facilitates the learning of robotics programming in middle and high school students to peak an interest in computer science. To do this they hold competitions around the world called botball where students program autonomous land robots to perform various sets of tasks. KIPR, now wants to expand and leave the ground by integrating flying robots (the AR Drone) into the tasks for added interest, fun, and challenge for students.

OpenSim - Open Simulator. Primarily a 3D simulator for multiple indoor and outdoor mobile robots. Includes 3D real-time rendering (via OSG) and a physics engine (via ODE). Current emphasis is on manipulators.

Big Iron is (or will be) a real-time, 3D, first person game of mechanized combat set in the far future. Players build, customize and operate massive anthropomorphic robots on realistic large scale battlefields in single or multiplayer mode.

A client - server game where all mechanical objects (robots) can be programmed, using standard programming languages, to battle other robots. Will be a great learning tool for robotics and programming.
