Optional 'signature' files can be created to keep checksums of tracks, so you may ask ARITA to verify them and make sure nothing is damaged due to a sudden failure of HDD/SSD. ...The HyperGUI manages it by avoiding screen refreshes as much as possible. In a game or other dynamic multimedia program, the screen (or part of it) is redrawn and refreshed tens of times a second, so there is no need for GUI to ask more refreshes in response of input events; and in a static application each event may change a tiny part of the screen, and only that part needs redrawing. HyperGUI has the flexibility to work in both states.

...The server commands the clients to play the same physical file that it's playing, and also relays to them any Play/Stop/Rewind/etc. commands that are entered in its own local interface. The server also periodically polls the clients to ask for their current position in the file being played. If necessary, it commands them to momentarily speed up or slow down their playback in order to synchronize with the server's current file position. The DSP plugin is used by the clients to synch themselves with the server. When a speed-up is needed, the audio waveform is horizontally compressed, and when a slow-down is needed, it's expanded.
