In an APK file, chess engines are always available for the following architectures: arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86, and x86_64. The installation file takes care of the correct installation based on the hardware used. Newer devices can use the files with the suffix “_arm64-v8.2a-dotprod” in the name. The APK file "Chess Engines Bonus" contains chess engines without embedded networks. Chess engines in this package are not ready to use. The missing network files can be found in the assets directory (just rename apk to zip). The network file must be copied to an appropriate directory (this is usually the app-specific external storage) and specified in the UCI options. Requires a chess app that supports the OEX format (e.g. Chess for Android or DroidFish). -

This application is open source software for quick and easy installation of the operating system (OS) GNU/Linux on your Android device. The application creates a disk image or a directory on a flash card or uses a partition or RAM, mounts it and installs an OS distribution. Applications of the new system are run in a chroot environment and working together with the Android platform. All changes made on the device are reversible, i.e. the application and components can be removed completely. Installation of a distribution is done by downloading files from official mirrors online over the internet. The application can run better with superuser rights (root). The program supports multi language interface. You can manage the process of installing the OS, and after installation, you can start and stop services of the new system (there is support for running your scripts) through the UI. The installation process is reported as text in the main application window. -

Andronix is simple inside the hood (well not really, but most of it is simple to understand). Andronix uses PRoot to run your favorite Linux distribution on your Android devices. PRoot is a user-space implementation of chroot, mount --bind, and binfmt_misc. This means that users don't need any privileges or setup to do things like using an arbitrary directory as the new root file system, making files accessible somewhere else in the file system hierarchy, or executing programs built for another CPU architecture transparently through QEMU user-mode. We use Termux to provide the command line and the packages that are especially compiled for Termux implemented inside Andronix. -

This monorepo contains all our source code - the client apps (iOS / Android / F-Droid / Web / Linux / macOS / Windows) for both the products (and more planned future ones!), and the server that powers them.
