...The conventional detection and identification of bacterial colonies comprises a variety of methodologies based on biochemical, serological or DNA/RNA characterization. Such methods involve laborious and time-consuming procedures in order to achieve confirmatory results. The software (ζ-Bidens) was programmed using C++, Perl and wxBasic programming languages. ζ-Bidens provides key tools for studying bacterial colony images as: texture analysis, invariant moment and color (CIELab) calculation, etc., simplifying operations previously carried out by MatLab applications. Additionally ζ-Bidens offers to the users a versatile environment for the study and identification of bacterial colonies

This project aims the requirement of managed informations / documents in the treatment of patients, i.e. integrated care. The underlaying data model implements standards of electronic health recording, the project is based on a SQL db and Java EE framework. This is currently a student driven project for educational purposes.

vuVolume is a framework for volume rendering algorithms in C++. When creating a new rendering method in vuVolume it is possible to just concentrate on the actual algorithm and let the framework take care of the more administrative tasks.
