Open Source Windows Media Servers

LMS is an open source multi-room audio system. It was created by SlimDevices and then acquired by Logitech. Although Logitech has ended development of hardware devices, the project is still very active with lots of plugin released regularly. New hardware players can be added using PI devices and DAC board to build high-quality multi-room. I've created some extra plugins, especially to include new standard hardware/players to the LMS ecosystem: UPnP/DLNA (Sonos), ChromeCast and AirPlay.

This is a plugin for Logitech Media Server Squeezebox players. It provides the SuperDateTime plugin functionality originally developed by Greg Brown using weather.com data. Media File Duplicate Finder finds duplicated video and image files based on similarity. Finds duplicates which have different resolution, frame rate, watermark, and video file tags. It's a cross-platform program that supports Windows, Linux and Mac-OS. A DLNA compatible, fully transcoding, media server designed for serving media (movies, TV shows, music, photos) to DLNA compliant televisions and media players (Streamium, PS3, XBox 360). Also subtitles and audio language selection are supported.

Galleon is a home media server using TiVo's discontinued HME protocol. It only works on TiVo versions earlier than 20.7.2. The project is not actively maintained. If you want to maintain it, contact the admins.

oShare - A very simple DLNA compliant media server. Light weight, easy to install and use. Supports music, photos and video including MKV. For Windows only at this time.

DownloadDaemon is a comfortable download-manager with many features like one-click-hoster support, etc. It can be remote-controled in several ways (web/gui/console clients), which makes it perfect for file- and root-servers, as well as for local use.

This is a community driven port of Plex Home Theater for the raspberry pi. The port is lead by Dale Hamel, with help from various members of the plex community. Plex has also been helpful in the creation of rasplex, and has supported the effort.

FirePlay is a Flash based client for the FireFly Media Server. It's small, configurable and uses RSP (Roku Server Protocol) to fetch data from the server. With FirePlay you can listen to your music from any flash-enabled browser in the world.
