mpeg_cut is a utility for video cutting of an MPEG transport stream (H.222/H.262), for instance to remove leading and trailing advertisements from a recorded movie. Such transport streams are created by e.g. current satellite cards or the DreamBox. -

This program receives MPEG-2 transport streams from an IEEE 1394 (FireWire) bus according to IEC 61883-4. It can decode one audio and video stream and present them on the local sound card and on the local display.
