A low-code dashboard makes monitoring intuitive for any admin, while scripting and custom sensors give experts full control.
You shouldn't have to choose between a monitoring tool that's easy to use and one that's powerful enough for a complex environment. PRTG's low-code interface lets any admin build dashboards, set alerts and monitor devices without scripting, while custom sensors and full API access are there when your team needs deeper control. One platform, no compromise. Download a free 30-day trial now.
Java base GPS Waypoint manipulation.
Provides a toolkit for managing a variety of GPS Waypoint input formats like GPX, used by ExpertGPS and GeoCaching.com, as well as conversion formats for certain GPS devices.

GPS Date Converter (GDC) is a program to convert six different date formats, including:
(1) Decimal year, (2) Year, Month, Day, (3) Year, Day of year, (4) GPS Week, Day of week, (5) Julian date, and (6) Modified Julian date. These formats are quiet common in Earth Sciences, specially GPS applications. More information can be found in the GDC website.

This program gets data from a GPS, parses it, and calculate things such as acceleration and distance traveled. That is then saved it to a CSV file. Also shows data in real time and has a speedometer to show your speed in real time (in KM/h or MPH).
A small server-side application is dedicated to provide TCP-packets response and basic logging functionality from operating low cost commercially available GPS Vehicle Trackers such as Concox GT06N and perhaps others (GT06E and GT06F). The application is using POSIX API and intended to run on Unix, Linux and even Windows systems (cygwin environment). Currently it has been developed and tested on FreeBSD 14.3. Recently added limited support for VL103 series devices from Jimi IoT Co., Ltd..
Track your mobile device or cellphone via internet using OpenGTS/GPRMC
GG-Tracker tracks the location of your mobile device. It displays your position on the internet using Google Maps / Earth and uses live updates via ajax technology.
GG-Tracker can run standalone or integrated on an existing webpage. The application is built using the template framework Bootstrap which makes it fully responsive (fits on any screen). Also the supporting files for Google Maps, Streetview and Earth are 100% responsive.
GG-Tracker can potentially hook up to many different apps (iOS and Android) as long as they follow the OpenGTS or Garmin $GPRMC standards. The application itself runs on a standard Apache and MySQL setup.
MIDlet showing status of GPS device connected to cellphone. Show availability of GPS device/signal, current position, speed, course and satellites' position and signal power. Log tracks in GPX format.
tool collection for communication with GPS devices via GARMIN protocol. A graphical frontend for visualization of all gps-data and remote control of the GPS receiver is included.
GPS-Earth also uses undocumented features that might or might not work wit
GPSDproxy is a small program which reads GPS data from a running gpsd process (http://gpsd.berlios.de/) and forwards it to a remote server via an UDP connection. GPSDproxy is intended to be run on GPS enabled mobile devices.
GPSMobile is a java library providing access to GPS devices from mobile devices like PDAs or mobile phones. It uses J2ME Personal Profile (JSR 062) specification. The core of the library uses GPSTool package from Dinopolis. A demo application is provided.
GPSylon is a Java moving map application that is able to display maps like in an atlas and show your position by the use of a gps device. It may track your path, load overlays (e.g. shape files), download maps from expedia servers. - The source code was moved to github!
GPX2ProfileImage is a Java application that takes gpx files and turns them into elevation profile images. GPX files are created by GPS devices such as the Garmin Edge series bicycle computers, as well as by applications like LoadMyTracks, Ascent.
Analyze gpx files and store summary in Sqlite database
There are many good programs to manage gpx tracks from my sport activities. My favorite one is gps-prune to view gps tracks on a map and make changes. However, I was missing a simple tool to store summary information about a gpx track into a database to keep track of my training efforts. That's why I created GPXReport.
GPXReport is a desktop solution which is written in Java and should run on most computers. The program can read a gpx-file and calculate basics information such as:
- overall and moving time
- distance (km),
- average and max speed
- time, km uphill and downhill
It automatically classifies the acitvity as hiking, MTB or race bike. Each track information can be added to a Sqlite database. The program can display all information of the database and summarize it by activity.
A program for cropping GPX track files. The GUI plots the GPX track (latitude vs longitude) and lets the user remove GPS points from the beginning and end of the track respectively. There is also a built-in Command Line Interface.
Note: No development anymore since I found out that GpsPrune does all the things I was looking for.
!!! ABANDONED PROJECT !!! I'd be happy to hand it over to anyone willing to take over, or just to use the name. Check out the showcase : http://gwt-mapfish.sourceforge.net/showcase/GwtMapFishShowcase.html
I see there are still some downloads, so I feel I have to advise against using this project. It barely has any functionality, and anyway you'd be better off with home-made GWT widgets and Java logic. GWT-OpenLayers is OK, but don't go further in JS-library wrapping, or it gets messy.
GaiaPocket is a mobile GIS client written on .NET Compact Framework 2.0, using common OGC protocols such as WMS and WFS. You can use GaiaPocket libraries to build your own GIS client in no time.
Gebabbel is a GUI for the famous gpsbabel, a command line tool to convert various GPS file formats back and forth. Thanks to gpsbabel, you cannot only convert files but also exchange data with your GPS device (e.g. Garmin and Magellan) directly.
