This object-oriented python module converts 3D VRML models into Collada and integrates it in Google Earth (GE) through the Keyhole Markup Language (KML). It enables the visualisation of large scale aerial/satellite images in the Geo Browser.

The project will produce a small standalone Java application which will allow a user to convert ESRI Shapefiles (.shp) to the Google Earth KML format. This will allow ESRI Shapefile points, lines, and polygons to be viewed in Google Earth.

This system will allow importation of KML files that are properly formatted into a MySQL database. It will then be possible to edit the markers, folders and, 'trips', then export the data as a KML or KML network link.
