The iDevice restore application is a full reimplementation of all granular steps which are performed during the restore of firmware to a device. In general, upgrades and downgrades are possible, however subject to the availability of SHSH blobs from Apple for signing the firmware files. idevicerestore requires a properly installed usbmuxd for the restore procedure.

Linux app for customizing iDevice Themes (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch). You can transfer your Themes from your jailbroken iDevice to your computer, modify as needed, then transfer back to your iDevice. Written entirely in python with a pyGTK GUI and uses rsync to transfer files back and forth.
