    HomotopyContinuation.jl

    HomotopyContinuation.jl

A Julia package for solving systems of polynomials

...Many models in the sciences and engineering are expressed as sets of real solutions to systems of polynomial equations. We can optimize any objective whose gradient is an algebraic function using homotopy methods by computing all critical points of the objective function. An important special case is when the objective function is the euclidean distance to a given point. An example of an non-algebraic objective function whose derivative is algebraic is the Kullback–Leibler divergence. Homotopy continuation methods allow us to study the conformation space of molecules as for example cyclooctane (CH₂)₈. ...

    IntervalRootFinding.jl

    IntervalRootFinding.jl

Find all roots of a function in a guaranteed way with Julia

This package provides guaranteed methods for finding roots of functions, i.e. solutions to the equation f(x) == 0 for a function f. To do so, it uses methods from interval analysis, using interval arithmetic from the IntervalArithmetic.jl package by the same authors. The basic function is roots. A standard Julia function and an interval is provided and the roots function return a list of intervals containing all roots of the function located in the starting interval.

    Roots.jl

    Roots.jl

    Root finding functions for Julia

This package contains simple routines for finding roots, or zeros, of scalar functions of a single real variable using floating-point math. The find_zero function provides the primary interface. The basic call is find_zero(f, x0, [M], [p]; kws...) where, typically, f is a function, x0 a starting point or bracketing interval, M is used to adjust the default algorithms used, and p can be used to pass in parameters. Bisection-like algorithms. For functions where a bracketing interval is known (one where f(a) and f(b) have alternate signs), a bracketing method, like Bisection, can be specified. ...

    Infiltrator.jl

    Infiltrator.jl

    No-overhead breakpoints in Julia

This package provides the @infiltrate macro, which acts as a breakpoint with negligible runtime performance overhead. Note that you cannot access other function scopes or step into further calls. Use an actual debugger if you need that level of flexibility. Running code that ends up triggering the @infiltrate REPL mode via inline evaluation in VS Code or Juno can cause issues, so it's recommended to always use the REPL directly. When the infiltration point is hit, it will drop you into an interactive REPL session that lets you inspect local variables and the call stack as well as execute arbitrary statements in the context of the current local and global scope.

    fast_float

    fast_float

Implementation of the C++ from_chars functions for number types

...In our experience, these fast_float functions many times faster than comparable number-parsing functions from existing C++ standard libraries. It parses the character sequence [first, last) for a number. It parses floating-point numbers expecting a locale-independent format equivalent to the C++17 from_chars function. The resulting floating-point value is the closest floating-point value (using either float or double), using the "round to even" convention for values that would otherwise fall right in between two values. That is, we provide exact parsing according to the IEEE standard.

    Surrogates.jl

    Surrogates.jl

Surrogate modeling and optimization for scientific machine learning

A surrogate model is an approximation method that mimics the behavior of a computationally expensive simulation. In more mathematical terms: suppose we are attempting to optimize a function f(p), but each calculation of f is very expensive. It may be the case we need to solve a PDE for each point or use advanced numerical linear algebra machinery, which is usually costly. The idea is then to develop a surrogate model g which approximates f by training on previous data collected from evaluations of f.

Very simple to use: just set an environment variable (command line) or switch on a radio button (web request) to profile your script. Thus, you are free of manually instrumenting your code (Ctrl-C a long running command line script is even supported)....

    OpenTK

    OpenTK

The Open Toolkit library is a fast, low-level C# wrapper for OpenGL

...OpenTK provides several utility libraries, including a math/linear algebra package, a windowing system, and input handling. OpenTK is not a game engine, nor does it try to be one: It offers a useful set of tools and lets you decide how to use them. It is the ideal starting point if you want to write a game or scientific application from the ground up. The OpenGL specification specifies exactly what the result/output of each function should be and how it should perform. It is then up to the developers implementing this specification to come up with a solution of how this function should operate. Since the OpenGL specification does not give us implementation details, the actual developed versions of OpenGL are allowed to have different implementations.
