The app is built with JavaScript/TypeScript and a conventional web toolchain, offering simple commands for local development, testing, and production builds. Playback hooks into the stream types exposed by add-ons and the core’s selection logic, with UI affordances for choosing sources, subtitles, and quality. Oboe.js is an open source Javascript library for loading JSON using streaming, combining the convenience of DOM with the speed and fluidity of SAX.
