This is an accessory for players to analyze and record games and their variations. Hex and Twixt are supported, with Reversi and Lines of Action under development.
A pure Java implementation of the classic board game "Twixt". For two players (or one schizophrenic player), either both local or across a network. Written for Java 1.4, it should run on any platform supporting that or later versions.
We developed the game of Twixt for its challenging strategy, relative obscurity, and the variety of data structures necessary to implement it. This game runs on Linux Red Hat and uses OpenGL and C++. Help page is at: www.nd.edu/~roehmen/twixt.htm.
Twixt is a remake of an old 3M Bookshelf game by the same name. It is an abstract thinking type of game. Network play is supported. Required: X and SDL (http://www.libsdl.org) as well as SDL_image.
