    terminal-image

    terminal-image

    Display images in the terminal

terminal-image is a Node.js package for displaying images directly inside color-capable terminal applications. It supports PNG and JPEG files as well as animated GIF playback. Terminals with native graphics protocols, including compatible iTerm2 and Kitty environments, can display images at full resolution. Other terminals fall back to colored Unicode block characters using ANSI output. Developers can specify image width and height as terminal dimensions or percentages while preserving aspect ratio by default. The package accepts both image files and in-memory buffers. GIF rendering includes configurable frame-rate limits and custom frame handlers, making the library suitable for rich CLI previews and media-oriented terminal tools.

    iTerm2 Color Schemes

    iTerm2 Color Schemes

    Over 425 terminal color schemes/themes for iTerm/iTerm2

...You’ll find well-known palettes like Solarized, Dracula, Nord, and hundreds more, each with previews that showcase how code, prompts, and text look under the theme. The repository includes export files for multiple terminals—such as iTerm2, Apple Terminal, Alacritty, Kitty, Windows Terminal, and others—so you can apply the same aesthetic consistently across machines. There are helper tools and conversion scripts to generate or translate schemes, plus instructions for importing them on each supported terminal. Because it’s community-driven, new schemes and updates are added regularly, and issues often include tweaks to improve readability or contrast for different use cases.

    Notcurses

    Notcurses

blingful character graphics/TUI library. definitely not curses

A library facilitating complex TUIs on modern terminal emulators, supporting vivid colors, multimedia, threads, and Unicode to the maximum degree possible. Things can be done with Notcurses that simply can't be done with NCURSES. It is furthermore fast as shit. What it is not: a source-compatible X/Open Curses implementation, nor a replacement for NCURSES on existing systems. Notcurses abandons the X/Open Curses API bundled as part of the Single UNIX Specification. For some necessary...

    GNUSlashLinux

    GNUSlashLinux

GNUSlashLinux - Rolling base. Scrolling space. Console pace.

...Thanks to identical keybindings and the minimalist Noctalia Shell, the transition requires zero retraining. The system delivers an uncompromising out-of-the-box toolset for maximum efficiency, including the GPU-accelerated Kitty terminal, the modern Helix text editor, and the asynchronous TUI file manager yazi. It is rounded off by the privacy-focused Helium browser (Ungoogled-Chromium) and popular pre-configured color schemes like Nord, Tokyo Night, and Gruvbox, combining the Unix philosophy with cutting-edge CLI tools.
