...It was written specifically to run under Linux using: a VEC Infinity USB foot pedal but will work with foot pedals from other manufacturers and LibreOffice Writer as the word processor. In principle, there is no reason for it not to work under a Windows OS, however as MSW uses a different method of controlling HID devices the foot pedal will not function. If you are a transcriber using Linux consider using instead either https://sourceforge.net/projects/footswitch2/ or https://sourceforge.net/projects/footswitch3/ These are fully fledged transcription tools integrated with LibreOffice Writer.
