Epcol gives simple access to using factory builtin features of ESC-P2 printers such as the Epson LQ590 printer. These printers have very nice embedded fonts that are easy to use when a file is processed by epcol before printing. The proportional fonts are especially nice looking fonts. A typical usage is putting macro commands in the text file or specifying a command option to epcol on the command line as shown in the epcol syntax statement. -

Me and some friends wanted to make a cooking game, this is where we ended up! View recipes in the menu (hit Esc), drag ingredients into the bowl, and chop fruit up first. Remember to turn on the pan and stir. Try and do it in time, and don't forget to clean up before the next customer! (Hit "Reset"). Sadly other committments meant my friends didn't have time for creating art assets, but it made a nice little prototype!
