This is a simple BASH script which will backup source directories to a destination target, such as a mounted NFS share. It will create a full directory structure matching the source, but only use disk space for new/changed files. This is done by linking existing files. Essentially, it backs up like an incremental backup, and consumes space like an incremental backup, but restores like a full backup.

Daily backup (for LINUX/MAC) is a small bash script that creates daily incremental backups of your files on any number of local or remote locations. It uses rsync to make new copies of only the files that are new/have changed. MySQL Local and/or Remote Backup

A Perl script to manage MySQL Backups, both locally and remotely (FTP). For a simpler Bash script (which doesn't manage FTP), see the AutoMySQLBackup project by wipe_out. I made this because it was easier for me to create a whole new Perl script than to improve upon his bash goodness. Right now you can expect it to save databases (via mysqldump or mysql with a custom query) and upload them using FTP (via a Perl module).
