    This package includes a collection of MATLAB files which are designed to: 1. Given a calibration scan of the image of a point emitter with an engineered point spread function (PSF), 2. Perform a phase retrieval algorithm based on maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) of a phase aberration term which is added to the theoretical pupil function of the imaging system. 3.     Iris Recognition Matlab Code
    The code consists of an automatic segmentation system that is based on the Hough transform, and is able to localize the circular iris and pupil region, occluding eyelids and eyelashes, and reflections. The extracted iris region was then normalized into a rectangular block with constant dimensions to account for imaging inconsistencies. Finally, the phase data from 1D Log-Gabor filters was extracted and quantized to four levels to encode the unique pattern of the iris into a bit-wise biometric template. The Hamming distance was employed for classification of iris templates, and two templates were found to match if a test of statistical independence was failed.

    This program calculate the similarity index of two images and tells user in terms of percentage that how much the two images are similar and where the difference lies. The images of the person should be of same posture/angle. This method is still in its development phase and yet more work has to be done on it. It is best for learning how to compare two images that are quite similar to each other. A very interesting application of this code is that a person can check its face before and after beauty/acne treatment to visualize how much the treatment is effective and how his face is improving.
