Legacy io accesses to vga registers are replaced through MMIO accesses. Legacy accesses to vga memory are replaced through accesses to plain framebuffer. This avoids vga arbiter problems in linux kernel. -

The patch provided is intended for http://pegasus2.sourceforge.net/ Pegasus/Pegasus II USB Ethernet Linux driver.
