Usually, this project will be used in GUI of embedded system, to make the image files smaller, and save the IO bandwith. I programmed the Controlled Chaos (ConCh) Encoder for one purpose: I needed something like it for one of my projects. What Controlled Chaos does is encode streams of data into a subset of the ASCII character set. Specifically, Controlled Chaos encodes data in between base 2 and base 94 (there are 94 visible, non-whitespace characters in US_ASCII), using only the visible ASCII characters (no whitespace, no control characters). By default, ConCh streams will assume Base94 for its encoding unless specified other radix. ...

ripperX fork to clean the code and port to GTK+ 3
Rippix is a fork of ripperX, a fast and easy to use CD ripper. While ripperX does it's job good to rip and encode songs from a CD, it uses a rather outdated user interface. Rippix tries to fill this gap. This includes porting Rippix to GTK+ 3. Additionally, many deprecated code gets rewritten and documentation will be added. 'Why a fork?' you might ask. Well, after some hacking on the ripperX code, it appeared to me that I had to do more modifications in order to port to GTK+ 3 conveniently than what could be appreciable by ripperX devs, like removing all the XPM images (including the logo) from the UI. -
