I designed OverServer with a few lessons in mind from Valve and Won's metaserver setup for Half-life. It is at least somewhat resistant to attack through a challenge-response system for incoming requests. I also wanted the tool to be very simple to "snap in" to an existing application. -

Comprehensively annotate your non-model species genome.
Uses an existing exonerate output or just predicted proteins (e.g. from Transdecoder or just a FASTA file) to prepare gene prediction inputs for Augustus, SNAP and geneid. Exonerate is run (enabled via AAT) if it is not provided. GTF file is produced to judge quality of annotation. Sorts out high quality alignments from those that don't meet the criteria. -

we invented a simple desktop stand-alone program (GWAS-LD) and also web-based program to identify the previous GWAS SNPs and the reported traits in high linkage disequilibrium (LD) state with a query SNP.
