...Here, we describe TagGraph, a computational tool that overcomes both challenges with an unrestricted string-based search method that is as much as 350-fold faster than existing approaches, and a probabilistic validation model that we optimized for PTM assignments. We applied TagGraph to a published human proteomic dataset of 25 million mass spectra and tripled confident spectrum identifications compared to its original analysis. We identified thousands of modification types on almost 1 million sites in the proteome.

    eGPXviewer

    eGPXviewer

eGPXviewer is a 3D GPX track viewer

...The GPS track data should be input from a GPX exchange formatted file which is typically obtained by downloading a GPX file from a GPS receiver/tracker (e.g. Garmin™) or an iOS™/Android™ tracker app. The GPX exchange format is a standard output file format available in most GPS tracker devices/applications. It is human readable text file written in XML. Read more about the GPX exchange file format here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS_Exchange_Format. eGPXviewer is currently available for Win10 and Linux (Ubuntu/Mint, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Raspbian) operating systems. ™ Registered trademarks for the respective owners.

    Timewave Synthesizer

A binary waveform synthesizer based on Timewave Zero

...His theory proposes that the structure of time is a complex wave with a scalar potential, and the King Wen sequence of the I Ching is the 64 hexagram code from which the waveform of time is derived; that the King Wen sequence maps the linear progression of the human states of mind, which ultimately substantiates this waveform. This theory is the basis for the well-known novelty computer program he and others had developed. This program synth was made in supercollider.

    Miasm

    Miasm

    Reverse engineering framework in Python

...We will present in this article new tricks Miasm has learned in 2018. Among them, the SSA/Out-of-SSA transformation, expression propagation and high-level operators can be joined to “lift” Miasm IR to a more human-readable language. We use graphviz to illustrate some graphs. Its layout does not always totally conform with a reverse engineering “ideal view”, so please be tolerant of those odd graphs. Miasm is not the first tool to implement this feature. But, well, as the tool already had everything needed to implement DSE, it was just a matter of time before these features landed in the main branch.

    Image Quality Assessment

    Image Quality Assessment

Convolutional Neural Networks to predict aesthetic quality of images

Image Quality Assessment is an open-source deep learning project that implements neural models for predicting the aesthetic and technical quality of digital images. The repository provides an implementation inspired by the NIMA (Neural Image Assessment) research approach, which uses convolutional neural networks trained on human-annotated datasets to estimate image quality scores. The goal of the project is to automatically evaluate images based on perceived quality factors such as composition, clarity, and visual appeal. Instead of relying on simple image statistics, the system learns patterns that correlate with human judgments about image aesthetics and technical quality. ...

    Jekyll Readme Index

    Jekyll Readme Index

A Jekyll plugin to render a project's README as the site's index

...Let's say you have a GitHub repository with a README.md file, that you'd like to use as the index (main page) for a GitHub Pages site. You could rename the file to index.md, but then it wouldn't render on GitHub.com. You could add YAML front matter with permalink: / to the README, but why force a human to do what Jekyll can automate? If you have a readme file, and your site doesn't otherwise have an index file, this plugin instructs Jekyll to use the readme as the site's index. That's it, no more, no less.

Pytorch implementation of our method for high-resolution

...Built on top of image-to-image translation techniques like pix2pixHD, it extends these ideas into the temporal domain by ensuring consistency across video frames. The system can synthesize complex outputs such as realistic talking faces, human motion animations, or dynamic street scenes by learning temporal relationships between frames. It uses generative adversarial networks combined with temporal modeling strategies to maintain coherence and reduce flickering artifacts. The framework is capable of producing high-resolution outputs and is widely used in research related to video synthesis, animation, and simulation. ...

    FID score for PyTorch

    FID score for PyTorch

    Compute FID scores with PyTorch

This is a port of the official implementation of Fréchet Inception Distance to PyTorch. FID is a measure of similarity between two datasets of images. It was shown to correlate well with human judgement of visual quality and is most often used to evaluate the quality of samples of Generative Adversarial Networks. FID is calculated by computing the Fréchet distance between two Gaussians fitted to feature representations of the Inception network. The weights and the model are exactly the same as in the official Tensorflow implementation, and were tested to give very similar results (e.g. .08 absolute error and 0.0009 relative error on LSUN, using ProGAN generated images). ...

    Butteraugli

    Butteraugli

Estimates the psychovisual difference between two images

butteraugli is a perceptual similarity metric designed to estimate how noticeable differences between two images will be to the human eye. Instead of simple pixel math, it models aspects of human vision—color sensitivity, spatial masking, and contrast perception—to highlight differences that viewers actually see. The core tool outputs a single “distance” score along with per-pixel or per-region maps that show where artifacts are most objectionable. These maps make it practical to tune compressor settings and confirm whether bitrate reductions are visually acceptable. ...
