Fixed point 16/32 integer FFT library for the Raspberry Pi and Android
This library is being created as I have a need to do very fast FFTs on low end devices not supporting the NEON instruction set. The Raspberry Pi is an ideal candidate for developing in gcc before porting to JNI for low spec Android devices, hence it's inclusion. Fixed point 16/32 integer FFT library suitable for the Raspberry Pi and Android devices. Includes test stubs for gcc on the Raspberry Pi and a Basic4Android wrapper from JNI. It includes hand optimised ARMv6 assembler, demonstrating techniques such as pipeline stuffing to achieve maximum performance. It also demonstrates how to include large chunks of assembler inline with C/C++ thus avoiding ABI issues between platforms. -

The sequence alignment task in MAGI (magi.ucsd.edu) is based on the miRanda algorithm, but we redesign the miRanda algorithm on GPU by taking its advantages of massively parallel computing and extra high memory bandwidth using using NVIDIA’s Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA). The CUDA-miRanda implementation is a fast microRNA target identification algorithm that aligns short nucleotide sequences (i.e., < 32 nucleotides) against longer reference sequences (e.g., 20k nucleotides). It has the ability to report multiple alignments and the corresponding traceback sequences for any given query-reference pair with up to 166x speedup on 4 GPUs compared to regular CPUs.

...I wrote it some years ago (2006) when I tested a lot of altervatives OS and wanted to chat with my friend. It is written using only C ANSI functions to be fully portable. I compiled it successfully on Windows 95/XP, BeOS, AtheOS, FreeBSD, GNU/Hurd, and GNU/Linux 32/64bits. It crashed on QNX. It does not include SSL/TLS, but you may connect by SSL through "stunnel", a SSL proxy.
