    Meaning Explorer

A tool for analyzing the words of the Quran

...In addition, the tool also provides other helpful functionalities that complement the primary purpose, which include a Key Word In Context (KWIC) concordance, in addition to frequency lists of all words, lemmas and roots in the holy Quran. The main intended users of this tool are Arabic Quranic scholars and linguists. The Meaning Explorer applies a new distributional semantic model to extract words’ significant co-occurrences from the Quran. This model is based on the Refined MI association measure applied to all words within a symmetric sliding window of five words surrounding the node word. The Refined MI association measure is chosen because of its remarkable ability ability to extract syntagmatic relations between the words of the Quran.

    Presage

the intelligent predictive text entry platform

...Presage computes probabilities for words which are most likely to be entered next by merging predictions generated by the different predictive algorithms. Presage's modular and extensible architecture allows its language model to be extended and customized to utilize statistical, syntactic, and semantic predictive algorithms. Presage's predictive capabilities are implemented by predictive plugins. Predictive plugins use services provided by the platform to implement multiple prediction techniques.

    Mechaglot, Calculate Semantic Similarity

    Mechaglot, Calculate Semantic Similarity

Calculate semantic similarity for any human and human-like languages

...The goal of this project is simple: Input two sentences of the same language, and obtain the number (from 0 to 1) denoting the similarity between the inputted sentences, according to semantic categories. This project models my previous project: https://sourceforge.net/projects/semantics/ Difference is, this project does not use any database and computes any Strings as an input. JAVA was the language of choice, due to availability of modelling tools. This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. ...

    Automatic Compound Processing (AuCoPro)

Automatic compound splitting and semantic analysis of compounds

...Specifically, we will explore the possibility to create new knowledge about closely-related languages, and efficiently develop additional, more advanced resources for (a) compound segmentation; and (b) the semantic analysis of compounds; as such, the project will be divided into two interrelated subprojects, to be executed simultaneously. The focus in this project will be on Afrikaans (with Dutch as the closely-related, well-sourced language), which will lay grounds for future work on other closely-related language pairs.
