Nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NSE) is a fundamental equation in nonlinear optics that describes the propagation of a pulse through a dispersive and nonlinear medium. Nonlinear Pulse Propagation Solver (NPP) is a program, written in C/C++, that solves NSE in an arbitrary waveguide. It has a user friendly interface, which allows a user to enter the pulse and waveguide parameters and execute simulations. The program can be invoked within MATLAB and any other scripting language. It can export the results in different formats including ASCII text “.txt” and MATLAB “.mat” format. The program can also utilize the power of GPU via CUDA. With a modern gaming card “NVidia GTX TITAN”, a speed increase of a factor of 100 times can be achieved. This makes NPP a powerful tool especially for simulating long waveguides.

SpeedyQuant is a gel imaging/analysis software that automatically detects and quantifies gel bands (DNA, RNA, protein) in agarose or acrylamid gels. When calculating the relative strength of each band (% of most prominent band) it takes the background noise into account. This leads to accurate and comparable results. Several options can be used to tune the detection process. Here we provide the source code of the program (Perl script) that can be run on any OS with Perl installed (e.g. the freely available Strawberry Perl). Plasmid Constellation Network project. Placnet is a new tools for plasmid analysis in NGS projects. Placnet has been written in Perl. It's been optimized to work with Illumina sequences but it also works with 454, Iontorrent or any of the actual sequence technologies. The input of placnet is a set of contigs and one or more SAM files with the mapping of the reads against the contigs. Placnet obtains a set of files, easily opened on Cytoscape software or other network tools. The author here seeks to take information that he has learned from other programming projects to create a mathematical equation that can be used to run a super artificial intelligent A.I. capable of multitasking and performing task as well as a human or even better than a human. This project will use trained regression lines to predict the weights of the A.I.'s neurons. Then using the equation's of the regression lines to make an equation for a A.I. that can self train and update its own A.I. equation to out perform humans at completing task. The purpose of this A.I. is to be able to put it into any environment and have it perform better than a human can.
