    Spring PetClinic

    Spring PetClinic

    A sample Spring-based application

The Spring Petclinic is the canonical reference sample application built with Spring Boot and Thymeleaf, demonstrating best practices in building Spring-based web applications; forks also exist showcasing implementations with modern architectures like microservices, reactive stacks, and AI integrations. In its default configuration, Petclinic uses an in-memory database (H2) which gets populated at startup with data. The h2 console is exposed and it is possible to inspect the content of the database using the jdbc:h2:mem:<uuid> URL. ...

    Your basic graph

    Your basic graph

    Graph algorithms and data structures

...This text is about the implementation of a Go tool based entirely on functions – the API contains only immutable data types, and the code is built on top of a struct with five function fields. It’s a tool for building virtual graphs. In a virtual graph no vertices or edges are stored in memory, they are instead computed as needed. The tool is part of a larger library of generic graph algorithms.

    clmtrackr

    clmtrackr

Javascript library for precise tracking of facial features

...Saragih's paper. clmtrackr tracks a face and outputs the coordinate positions of the face model as an array. The library provides some generic face models that were trained on the MUCT database and some additional self-annotated images. Check out clmtools for building your own models. For tracking in video, it is recommended to use a browser with WebGL support, though the library should work on any modern browser. For some more information about Constrained Local Models, take a look at Xiaoguang Yan's excellent tutorial, which was of great help in implementing this library.

    Flasky

    Flasky

Companion code to my O'Reilly book "Flask Web Development"

Flasky is a comprehensive example web application built with the Flask microframework that demonstrates best practices for developing real-world Python web applications, covering everything from project structure and configuration to database models, authentication, and deployment. It serves as both a tutorial and sample codebase that walks developers through building a full-featured web application, including user registration and login, role-based permissions, user profiles, and content creation. The project shows how to organize a Flask application into reusable blueprints, configure environment-specific settings, integrate SQL databases via SQLAlchemy, and manage migrations. Beyond the core web functionality, Flasky illustrates testing strategies using Python’s unittest framework, including tests for models, views, and authentication flows to promote test-driven development.

    yo-yo.js

    yo-yo.js

A tiny library for building modular UI components using DOM diffing

yo-yo is a tiny, modular JavaScript library for building UI components by combining template literals with efficient DOM diffing. The core idea behind yo-yo is to enable developers to write modular, dynamic views using ES6 tagged template syntax, then update those views by intelligently diffing and morphing the real DOM rather than re-rendering everything. It’s inspired by patterns found in larger UI frameworks but stays extremely lightweight—only a few kilobytes when minified and gzipped—by leveraging existing tools like bel (for templating) and morphdom (for DOM updates). yo-yo underpins some higher-level frameworks and is ideal for developers who want direct control over components without the overhead of a full reactive framework. ...

    MEAN

For simple and scalable fullstack js applications

...The mean stack is intended to provide a simple and fun starting point for cloud native fullstack javascript applications. MEAN is a set of Open Source components that together, provide an end-to-end framework for building dynamic web applications; starting from the top (code running in the browser) to the bottom (database). The stack is made up of MongoDB, with document database, used by your back-end application to store its data as JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) documents. Also with Express (sometimes referred to as Express.js), with back-end web application framework running on top of Node.js. ...

    go-best-practice

    go-best-practice

Trying to complete over 100 projects in various categories in golang

go-best-practice is essentially a Go book and code collection called “Go 实战开发” (“Go in Practice”), born from the idea of building over 100 practical projects in different categories using Go. It combines an ebook/zh directory with written chapters and a src directory that holds the corresponding source code, so readers can move seamlessly between theory and practice. The goal is to help developers go beyond basic syntax and actually build real applications, drawing inspiration from similar “projects” collections in other languages. ...

    Spray

Scala libraries for building and consuming RESTful web services

Spray is a suite of Scala libraries built on top of Akka that offers a modular, asynchronous, and non-blocking toolkit for building and consuming RESTful and HTTP services. The core philosophy behind Spray is that it should act as a “library” for integration and HTTP layers, not as a full application framework—it gives you the building blocks to handle HTTP and REST but doesn’t impose heavy structure. It includes modules for low-level HTTP I/O, routing, client and server APIs, HTTP model (requests/responses), (un)marshalling, servlet adapters, and testing utilities. ...

    Morris.js

    Morris.js

    Pretty time-series line graphs

Morris.js is a JavaScript charting library designed to render “pretty time‑series” graphs. It offers a very simple API for building line, bar, area, and donut charts, making it easy to add visually appealing charts to web pages. It is built on top of jQuery and Raphael.js. You'll need Node.js. I recommend using nvm for installing Node in development environments. Additionally, Bower is required for retrieving additional test dependencies. With node installed, install grunt using npm install -g grunt-cli, and then the rest of the test/build dependencies with npm install in the morris.js project folder.
