String editing and formatting library for Ada
Strings edit is a library that provides I/O facilities for integers, floating-point numbers, Roman numerals, and strings. Both input and output subroutines support string pointers for consequent stream processing. The output can be aligned in a fixed size field with padding. Numeric input can be checked against expected values range to be either saturated or to raise an exception. For floating-point output either relative or absolute output precision can be specified. UTF-8 encoded strings are supported, including wildcard pattern matching, sets and maps of code points, upper/lowercase, and other Unicode categorizations. -

The Simple components for Ada library provides implementations of smart pointers for automatically collected objects (using reference counting), object persistence, unbounded and bounded arrays of smart pointers, generic unbounded arrays of private objects and plain pointers, generic sets, maps, arbitrary precision arithmetic, B-trees, directed graphs, directed weighted graphs, stacks, and storage pools. Memory allocations can be associated with subpools and subpools can be deallocated as a whole which provides a safer alternative than managing deletions of individual objects. It also is likely to be more deterministic and efficient than garbage collection. -

C++ Templates and Ada Package for Automatic Differentiation
Operators are overloaded so that a normal looking function definition provides access to not only evaluations of itself, but to evaluations of any of its analytic derivatives. Automatic differentiation means the user does not need to define the analytic expressions for all the various partial derivatives. It also means that those complex expressions are essentially calculated at compile time, and merely evaluated at runtime. First order derivatives only, forward accumulation. Choose "files" and either the "initial_submission" directory for the Ada version, or the other directory "cpp_AD" for the C++ version. -

It also uses Stephen Sangwine's PNG-IO package, and thin bindings to OpenGL, SDL2. More importantly, it shows how to encapsulate the scripts and runtime libraries necessary to easily compile and run on any computer running Windows, OS-X, or GNU/Linux.
