Workshops is an open source, simple, dead-lightweight LMS (Learning Management System) application programmed in Python (version 3.8.x) with Django (version 2.2.x) web framework which main purpose is to make a standarized way to share knowledge via courses in a slide-based view in browser powered by remark javascript library, easy to create, edit, delete and show your courses using simple markdown and html if necessary. Inspired on an old project in my social labours to help share knowledge in an easy way.

Moodle, as also other LMS, is a great tool for providing distance education and supporting online experiences, but it fail to address its objective when the network connection is not available. This is due to the intrinsic connected-based nature of the way they are implemented. They rely on a web-server and a database server, or equivalent internal modules, to provide a standard connectivity mechanism through Internet to its services. Users are not able to access the platform if there is no Internet connection, resulting in a limitation of the LMS applicability in specific cases.
