Handling and basic analysis of hyperspectral data in R
The hsdar package contains classes and functions to manage, analyse and simulate hyperspectral data. These might be either spectrometer measurements or hyperspectral images through the interface of rgdal.
An analysis tool in MATLAB and R for acoustic habitat characterisation
PAMGuide is acoustic analysis software for the characterisation of the acoustic environment from sound recordings. PAMGuide can be used to produce calibrated spectrograms and statistical analyses of sound levels, and is provided in both MATLAB and R. A Tutorial on getting started with PAMGuide can be downloaded here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/2041-210X.12330/suppinfo PAMGuide was published as supplementary material to the following Open Access journal article: Merchant, N.D., Fristrup, K.M., Johnson, M.P., Tyack, P.L., Witt, M.J., Blondel, P., Parks, S.E. (2015). Measuring acoustic habitats. Methods in Ecology and Evolution. http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/2041-210X.12330
Human protein similarity network used to predict drug safety.
This is the protein similarity network - PSIN. Here, the nodes are human proteins and they are linked only if they share considerable sequence similarity. We found that this network is particularly useful to distinguish approved from problematic drug-targets. Here you also find the complete set of programs and datasets we used for this purpose. Free to help further test and develop this project. Your help and expertise are much appreciated ! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us in the forum or by email. Please see the original manuscript: Lopes, TJS, et al. (2015) - "Identifying problematic drugs based on the characteristics of their targets" - Frontiers in Pharmacology doi: 10.3389/fphar.2015.00186
A machine learning system for supervised document classification
An open source system for supervised document classification based on statistical machine learning techniques. On the contrary of the state of art classification techniques, MyNook just requires the title of the document, not the content itself.
Find variants that overlap with pseudogenes
This tool will allow individuals to find and quantify the overlap of variants with pseudogenic sequences.
Short introduction to R
A short introduction to R. By now, only in german.
A statistical analysis tool for agricultural research
Package in R. Agricolae offers extensive functionality on experimental design especially for agricultural and plant breeding experiments, which can also be useful for other purposes. It supports planning of lattice, Alpha, Cyclic, Complete Block, Latin Square, Graeco-Latin Squares, augmented block, factorial, split and strip plot designs. There are also various analysis facilities for experimental data, e.g. treatment comparison procedures and several non-parametric tests comparison, biodiversity indexes and consensus cluster.
Simulation of Ideation Games and Games concerning Ideation
This is the SIGGI program used for a diploma thesis in 2012. It can be used as a solid basis for research concerning Ideation Games (Idea Creation). If you have module requests or want to contribute please contact the author.
User Friendly Data Analysis Tool for Interaction Data
TOPS provides the benchtop scientist with a free toolset to analyze, filter and visualize data from functional genomic gene-gene and gene-drug interaction screens with a flexible interface to accommodate various different technologies and analysis algorithms in addition to those already provided here.
