  • DeDAY Icon

    DeDAY

MLE survival analysis: Gompertz, Weibull, Logistic and mixed morality.

DeDAY (Demography Data Analyses) is a tool of analyzing demography data. It supports Gompertz, Weibull and Logistic distributions. DeDay also supports mixed mortality models based on these distribution such as the Gompertz-Makeham distribution. Distributions such as Gompertz describes only age-dependent mortality, which increases over time. Mixed mortality models, such as in Gompertz-Makeham distribution, consider a more general case where mortality is consist of both age-dependent and in-dependent mortality. Mixed models partition mortality into exogenous and endogenous components, so that the intrinsic survivorship can be estimated without the interference from extrinsic noise. DeDAY supports both interval-censored data and exact event-time data. Using MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimate), DeDAY fits statistic model to the data. DeDAY also calculates the variances and the multi-dimensional confidence limits of model parameters. DeDAY is free for academic users.

    Enigmatic CGI pastebin

Simple CGI script which allows you to transfer sensitive ascii data (passwords, hashes, pem keys) via HTTPS. SSL MUST BE implemented by webserver. Algorithm: - Paste new data into textarea, submit. You get link Link consists of three md5 hashes from salt. File, containing your data, named that way. So, it is hard to bruteforce links/files. - Whenever link being opened, script reads file and prints its content into brower in text/plain content-type. Afterthat, script removes file. So one link doesn't work twice and you can securely paste it everywhere. Prefered deployment schema: Nginx + SSL as front Apache + CGI + script as backend

  • Gnuplot2TightPDF Icon

    Gnuplot2TightPDF

Python script that produces a tight pdf from gnuplot with psfrag text.

Gnuplot is a widely known script based free plotting program. This script (gpt2pdf) makes it possible to generate pdf figures with 2D LaTeX maths on top of it by including psfrag replacements directly as comments in the gnuplot file. The resulting pdf file doesn't contain any extra white-spaces around it and as such can be comfortably included in any (pdf)LaTeX file. Requires: Python 2.4 - 2.7, LaTeX and the system commands ps2epsi and epstopdf which comes in with any ghostscript installation. Dr. Shibaji Banerjee Department of Physics St. Xavier's College, Kolkata Included: Main file: gpt2pdf.py demo file: demo.plt demo file; K.plt and K.txt Usage: gpt2pdf demo gpt2pdf K The script is written in pure python. It is easy enough for customization.

  • PyConfigExtended - Jarngreipr

Handles extended but compatible config files

The common - widely accustomed - configuration file format is mainly section oriented with limits for the application. Namely for the file based "executable-setup' of software components including graphical user interfaces. Alternatives are already available, e.g. ConfigParser and ConfigObj. The main for yet another issue arose from the requirements: 1. to supply an integrated solution of simple configuration files with the internal data representation by PyObjectTrees 2. to supply a facility for the customizable setup of complex software components including graphical interfaces by a 'simple' syntax - applicable for almost anyone. Therefore e.g. following features are introduced: -> path-like section names - representing tree structures with name spaces, e.g. '[a.b.c]' -> introduction of multiple keywords for recursive resolution and replacement during the scan, e.g. for environment, executables, includes, GUI masks, SW components, .. ***UPDATE SOON*** V1.0=Jarngreipr

  • PyObjectTrees - Megingiard

Provides path-like addressing of object trees

The module PyObjectTrees - pyobjtrees - provides path like access with customizable implict creation of tree members. The design is inspired by object management trees for ITU-T standards, but provides a basic layer for any generic data in tree structure. The short example for now is (update is going to follow soon): The call: A=OmAttributesTree() A[key0][key1][key3][key4]='It's me!' creates: A={key0:{key1:{key3:{key4:'It's me!'}}}} The call B=OmAttributesTree() B[key0][[key1a,key1b,ke1c]][key3][key4]='It's one of mine!' creates: B={key0:{ key1a:{key3:{key4:'It's one of mine!'}} key1b:{key3:{key4:'It's one of mine!'}} key1c:{key3:{key4:'It's one of mine!'}} } } Just a few of resulting shortcuts, following data types are supported: constructed: list, dictionary scalars: any Python type including constructred. ***UPDATE SOON*** V1.0 - Megingiard
