portable administration tool for LDAP, DNS, IMAP, PostgreSQL and more
Admin4 is a tool for server maintenance via several plugin modules. Currently, plugins for BIND DNS, LDAP, IMAP and PostgreSQL are included. It is designed as a framework, using Python for fast development of plugins and custom modifications. The DNS plugin should be able to query (axfr) any type of server, and performs updates via DDNS which insures that it won't interfere with other DDNS clients (DHCP, SAMBA4). For Bind 9.7 and up, statistics are supported as well and used to retrieve the server's zones automatically. The LDAP plugin features browsing and generic editing of all types of LDAP entries with schema support. In addition, high-level editing of objects like users, groups and samba domains is supported. Custom objectClasses and attributes can easily be added. The IMAP plugin can browse and modify mailbox metadata, such as name, acl and quota. The PostgreSQL plugin features a nice query tool, a data modification tool and an object browser.

The dotCODES Source Control Maintenance Mainframe for Visual Studio is an administrator console application for developing dotCODES components. Built upon a Python foundation, the program is used to create data center routines (Unix packages) and maintain enterprise cloud services (CGI scripts/Apache) by means of building dotCODES runtimes and deploying them to and from the client server.
Our goal is to find out useful and funny ways for expanding the possibilities of many FOSS by integrating them with other FOSS and proprietary systems. You'll find here many open source plugins and extensions useful to put those FOSS hermits together.

Project from EvilC, and SpankJ, to concur work
To retrieve obscure syntax of languages, or bookmark code comments.
Facilitates retrieval of personalized comments previously put into code. While writing new, (or reviewing old) code, user adds search-tag (the string "EGOF") to comments. Subsequently running Egof (followed by optional search words) retrieves them. Code can be in any programming language, or scripts used by applications, or HTML or LaTex files. Sounds like a combination of Unix find/grep, but has many more features. Searching is faster since database files are created, one per language. When creating them Egof goes through all (or specified subset of) user's folders/files, finds instances of the search-tag, and stores those lines of code plus some surrounding code. During running, Egof displays a prompt, and allows users to change options and modify the search, (using the same option-parsing software that was used to parse the command line.) Egof is command-line based. The documentation is comprehensive. Please invest <5 min to read the "Overview" section. Thank you.

Content Based File level Data Backup in Python
Content Based File level Data Backup in Python. This is a utility to backup your files. It can do full and incremental backups. It will take a directory as input, and will back up the files in that folder and all sub-folders to the backup destination directory. It can compress each file individually while backing-up. Mirrors the source directory structure under the target directory. Creates 1 archive file for each source file. Even if the backup/restore program or backup database is not available or lost, the backup files and structure can still be recovered. Huge plus for reliability. Uses a SQL database to manage backup file information. The files are managed through their checksum (SHA256). See wiki page for additional information: https://sourceforge.net/p/filebasedbackup/wiki/Home/ The project is work in progress. Main backup script is functional, but i have taken a break from adding features to the main program to build a GUI in Tkinter.

Energy and environmental monitoring of the server room
The solution GreenHop aims to perform energy and environmental (temperature, humidity, dew point and atmospheric pressure) monitoring of the Data Center server room, providing energy efficiency indicators through green metrics for Data Centers. The GreenHop solution is based on open source software and hardware. The approach of using open source solutions enables its deployment easier and independently of suppliers at the same time makes the solution scalable to the needs of each organization. Thus, we aim to provide ambiental monitoring of the Data Center server room while we keep the system to be customizable to implement and replicate.
