A project to increase free Arabic fonts on Unix/Linux
Arabeyes is a Meta project that is aimed at fully supporting the Arabic language in the Unix/Linux environment. It is designed to be a central location to standardize the Arabization process. Arabeyes relies on voluntary contributions.
Unofficial Windows builds of FontForge
The aim of this project is to compile up-to-date Windows builds of FontForge. For 'stable' builds, see https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/releases The build system used was based off that offered by Matthew Petroff (http://www.mpetroff.net/software/fontforge-windows/), but has since been practically rewritten. New in 31/07/2017: * Synced with 20170731 release * Compiled run_fontforge with Visual Studio to avoid antivirus false positives (r2) New in 07/04/2016: * Fixed crash in kern pairs dialogue * Fixed preferences window being too large New in 05/04/2016: * Synced with 20160404 release New in 27/08/2015: * Fix bug in saving fonts/files. New in 25/08/2015: * Synced with 20150824 release New in 14/06/2015: * Fixed bug in the display of window titles KNOWN ISSUES: * No collab support. Unlikely to be added. * CTRL-C from console no longer interrupts/stops FontForge
AquaTerm is a Mac OS X grahics renderer. It allows command line applications written in ObjC, C, FORTRAN, Lisp, Perl or Python to display vector graphics, text and images using a simple API. Adapters for gnuplot, PGPLOT, and PLplot exists as well.
This is an implementation of post-process phonon analyzer, which calculates crystal phonon properties from input information calculated by external codes, e.g., first-principles calculation code.
Framework for Systems Biology
The Systems Biology Workbench(SBW) is a framework for application intercommunications. It uses a broker-based, distributed, message-passing architecture, supports many languages including Java, C++, Perl & Python, and runs under Linux,OSX & Win32. It comes with a large number of modules, encompassing the whole modeling cycle: creating computational models, simulating and analyzing them, visualizing the information, in order to improve the models. All using community standards, such as SED-ML, SBML and MIRIAM.
UPDATE: Chromium is no longer updated or maintained. The project is frozen. Chromium is a flexible framework for scalable real-time rendering on clusters of workstations, derived from the Stanford WireGL project code base.
Model-based Analysis of Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 Knockout
Model-based Analysis of Genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 Knockout (MAGeCK) is a computational tool to identify important genes from the recent genome-scale CRISPR-Cas9 knockout screens technology. For instructions and documentations, please refer to the wiki page. MAGeCK is developed and maintained by Wei Li and Han Xu from Dr. Xiaole Shirley Liu's lab at Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard School of Public Health. We thank the support from Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research to develop MAGeCK.

Educational Linux Distribution
Main goals: * Prepare operating system based on Linux kernel and free software for use at home from scratch by building sources. Binary packages/images are also available. * Each package is installed in separate directory, so you can use different versions of applications and libraries by design. * There is only one user 'kanapi' with root permissions, so you don't have to login, remember passwords, etc. * Simple configuration * Automatic compilation.
