Open Source Monitoring System for performance and availability.
Pandora FMS is an enterprise-ready monitoring solution that provides unparalleled flexibility for IT to address both immediate and unforeseen operational issues, including infrastructure and IT processes. It uniquely enables business and IT to adapt to changing needs through a flexible and rapid approach to IT and business deployment. Pandora FMS consolidates all the needs of modern monitoring (ITOM, APM, BAM) and provides status and performance metrics from different operating systems, virtual infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, XEN), Docker containers, applications, storage and hardware devices such as firewalls, proxies, databases, web servers or routers. It's highly scalable (up to 2000 nodes with one single server), 100% web and with multi-tenant capabilities. It has a very flexible ACL system and several different graphical reports and user-defined control screens.
Ganglia is a scalable distributed monitoring system for high-performance computing systems such as clusters and Grids. It is based on a hierarchical design targeted at federations of clusters. Supports clusters up to 2000 nodes in size.
The Software Testing Automation Framework (STAF) is a framework designed to improve the level of reuse and automation in test cases and test environments. The goal of STAF is to provide a complete end-to-end automation solution for testers.
Storage and the SAN performance monitoring: IBM,NetApp,Hitachi,HPE,EMC
The tool offers you end-to-end views of your storage environment including NAS and SAN and can save you significant money in operation monitoring and by predicting utilization bottlenecks in your virtualized environment. You can also generate policy-based alerts, view overall health status of your systems, reduce service downtime, use capacity and forecasting data, and simplify the identification of virtualization or cloud aspirant. - Real-time storage performance visibility in NAS and SAN multi-vendor environment - Historical reporting (graph, CSV, PDF) - Alerting based on performance tresholds - Storage event monitoring The tool supports enterprise class level storages from major storage vendors like: - IBM - EMC - NetAPP - HPE - Hitachi - Lenovo - Dell - Pure Storage - Huawei - Dot Hill - INFINIDAT - Fujitsu Monitoring of the SAN supports Brocade, Qlogic and Cisco SAN switches. Fast Bayesian spam filter along lines suggested by Paul Graham
The bogofilter package implements a fast Bayesian spam filter as suggested by Paul Graham in "A Plan For Spam" <http://www.paulgraham.com/spam.html>. It is written in C. Supported platforms: Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, OS X, HP-UX, AIX, RISC-OS, ... NOTE: the bogofilter.org domain related services (mailing lists, website mirror) are currently down. We are working to restore service, but it may take a while.
VMware, AIX, AS400 free performance monitoring & capacity planning
LPAR2RRD collects performance data and generates actual, historical and future trends utilization graphs of your virtual environment. It is agentless (it receives everything from the management stations like vCenter or HMC). The product supports IBM Power Systems™ and VMware™ virtualization platforms. Collected data set can be extended about data provided by the OS Agents or NMON files. z390 Portable Mainframe Assembler and Emulator
z390 Portable Mainframe Assembler and Emulator
Master/node to gather and graph "everything" on your systems using Tobi Oetiker's rrdtool. It can optionally warn your surveillance software. This software package was originally called LRRD. The project. Please see http://munin-monitoring.org/
Collect much configuration data and record all changes in a logbook
System Configuration Collector collects and classifies most of your UNIX/Linux/BSD configuration data in flat files called snapshots. This unique concept allows changes in snapshots of consecutive runs to be detected. These changes are added to a logbook that is helpful for administrators during troubleshooting and for auditors during audits. Snapshot and logbook are also available in HTML format. All data can be send to an SCC server where a web interface provides access to summaries and supports comparing snapshots of different servers and searching of all data. A WMI based Windows client is also available.
X11::GUITest, is a Perl package, used for controlling applications by means of user emulation. This can be used to interact (SendKeys, ClickMouseButton, FindWindowLike, etc.) with applications running under an X Windows environment. Including applications built (GTK+, Qt, Motif, etc.) upon X11 / Xlib. You may find that this mechanism is easier to use then that provided by xautomation or xdotool.
Babel is a enterprise grade secure monitoring platfform to check OS security status: user/passwords, kernel options, file perms, patches, network setup, SUID, binary files changes and much more. All in a distributed and modular management architecture.
GGI stands for "General Graphics Interface", and it is a project that aims to develop a reliable, stable and fast graphics system that works everywhere. We want to allow any program using GGI to run on any platform requiring at most a recompile.
OpenSMART, the Open (System|Source) Monitoring And Reporting Tool, is a Open Source System Monitoring Software to monitor problems on your servers and to report some important data about your servers. It is somehow similar to Tivoli or OpenView.
This tool will allow obfuscation of UNIX scripts listing an interpreter as the first line. It is most useful for distributing functionality in a commercial product or a high user volume environment where you wish to hide proprietary information.
This program runs ps periodically and can match against process patterns trigger if some ps-property about them exists. For example it might be used to ensure that a daemon is running or is not running too many times. It might be used to determine wh
